Notes: Clump-forming perennial flower commonly found in open woodlands, woodland margins, and meadows in the NC mountains. Its long-blooming tubular flowers are very attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Supports specialized native bee Osmia distincta. Best used in butterfly or drought-tolerant gardens, borders, or naturalized areas.
