Notes: Deciduous tree commonly found in dry woodlands, floodplains, or disturbed areas in the wild. It is a host plant for the Luna moth ( Actias luna) and the Hickory Horndevil moth ( Citheronia regalis). Its fruit is beloved by birds and mammals (including humans!) It is dioecious meaning you need both a male and female tree to get fruit.
