Notes: Clump-forming grass easily grown in moist-wet, well-drained soils. It is the larval host for several Skipper species (Hesperiidae) and Northern Pearly-Eye ( Lethe anthedon). Small mammals and birds will eat the seeds. Best used in riparian areas or larger gardens due to its vigorous reseeding.
